BYD recalled B11E02, B12E04 vehicles built between 1 February 2024 and 28 December 2025. During anti-corrosion treatment the steering box mounting surfaces were not adequately masked. The dealer will removed anti corrosion paint from mating surfaces. You won't usually pay for it.1
What’s Wrong
During anti-corrosion treatment the steering box mounting surfaces were not adequately masked. As a result anti-corrosion paint contaminated the mating surfaces leading to insufficient metal-to-metal contact when the steering box was installed. This can cause the steering box to loosen over time potentially affecting steering control.
