Fiat recalled Grande Punto vehicles built between 1 July 2006 and 30 April 2008. The tightening torque of the steering shaft upper fixing bolt may not be correct. The dealer will check the subject bolt for correct torque which if necessary will be set to the correct specification. You won't usually pay for it.1

What’s Wrong

The tightening torque of the steering shaft upper fixing bolt may not be correct. This may result in the emission of noise and in extreme cases breakage of the shaft which will result in loss of steering control.
