Fiat 500X Recalls In The UK: Every Safety Recall By Year And Build Date, And What To Do

Recall data from DVSA, updated 15 October 2026.

The Fiat 500X has 5 UK safety recalls in DVSA records, 2 of them since 2020. The most common faults involve airbags and software. Enter your registration to see which apply to your car; you won't usually pay for a recall repair.1

The Fiat 500X has only a handful of UK recalls, but the largest is one worth checking if you carry passengers in the back. R/2018/216 fixed a fault where, if the rear seat belts were not fastened and the pretensioners fired in a crash, the system might not work as designed, covering 25,535 vehicle-records. A year later R/2019/161 corrected the airbag control module software on 3,870 cars. Since 2020 the 500X has had two small recalls: a rear brake calliper that could develop micro cracks (R/2020/273) and a faulty 48-volt battery on some mild hybrid 500X and Tipo models (R/2023/168). If you own a mild hybrid 500X, ask the dealer to check the 48-volt system when you book. The 500X shares its platform with the Jeep Renegade, so the Jeep Renegade recall page can be useful too.

The 500X Recalls That Matter Most

What You Might Notice

Many recall faults give no warning at all, so a registration check is the only reliable way to know.2 See car recall symptoms.
