Jaguar recalled S Type vehicles built between 1 May 2000 and 30 July 2000. A component within each front seat belt buckle may have received insufficient heat treatment. The dealer will check production date codes on both front seat belt buckle assemblies. You won't usually pay for it.1

What’s Wrong

A component within each front seat belt buckle may have received insufficient heat treatment. This may result in unintentional release of the set belt latch if it is subjected to a loading which exceeds the standard specified by EEC Regulation 16 during an accident.
