Maserati recalled Levante vehicles built between 19 September 2016 and 2 January 2017. The short hose on the pipe between the turbocharger and the intercoolers could break during the normal use of the vehicle. The dealer will replace the short hose on the pipe between the turbocharger and the intercoolers. You won't usually pay for it.1

What’s Wrong

The short hose on the pipe between the turbocharger and the intercoolers could break during the normal use of the vehicle. This could result in loss of performance and cause the check engine light to illuminate as the hose material may not conform to manufacturers specification.

DVSA's Original Wording

Concern: UNEXPECTED LOSS OF ENGINE POWER Defect: The short hose on the pipe between the turbocharger and the intercoolers could break during the normal use of the vehicle. This could result in loss of performance and cause the check engine light to illuminate as the hose material may not conform to manufacturers specification. Remedy: Replace the short hose on the pipe between the turbocharger and the intercoolers. In some cases the replacement of the entire intercooler pipe will be necessary; this will be determined by the VIN number.

The Risk
