Which Car Is It?

The Porsche Macan's largest recall, R/2020/046, fixed a fuel pump service cover that could rub against a connection pipe and cause a fuel leak, covering 7,374 petrol Macans. An earlier recall, R/2015/212, dealt with another fuel leak on early cars. If you smell fuel, don't start the car; see fuel leak recalls. The Macan S and Turbo had engine control software recalls for type approval parameters (R/2022/315) and a later reprogramming (R/2025/064). The new Macan Electric has had small airbag recalls in 2025, including a passenger airbag replacement (R/2025/168) and a check of airbag screw connections (R/2025/328); both were stop-delivery campaigns that mainly affected cars before handover. Macan recalls tend to arrive about three years after the cars were built, so check an older Macan again even if it has been clear. Porsche codes are four letters and numbers, such as ARC3. Any Porsche Centre can confirm by VIN.

What You Might Notice
Many recall faults give no warning at all, so a registration check is the only reliable way to know.2 See car recall symptoms.
