Porsche recalled Taycan vehicles built between 21 October 2019 and 4 March 2024. A short circuit within the battery modules during the vehicle’s service life cannot be ruled out under certain circumstances which could lead to thermal events and later to a fire in the vehicle. The dealer will replace the battery modules and the on-board diagnostic software (BMCe control unit) will be installed. You won't usually pay for it.1
