Volvo recalled S80, V70 vehicles. A joint on the high pressure line of the power assisted steering may not have been assembled correctly. The dealer will check and if required torque the unit up to the correct specification. You won't usually pay for it.1

What’s Wrong

A joint on the high pressure line of the power assisted steering may not have been assembled correctly. This may lead to a leakage of steering fluid into the engine bay. This could result in sudden loss of power assistance but in extreme cases it could result in a localised fire within the engine bay.
