Ferrari recalled 458 Italia, 458 Speciale, 458 Speciale A and 12 more vehicles built between 1 May 2008 and 31 May 2018. Due to a non conformity during production the passenger's front air bag inflator may rupture during deployment. The recall notice describes the fix as: on affected vehicles replace passenger's front air bag. You won't usually pay for it.1
What’s Wrong
Due to a non conformity during production the passenger's front air bag inflator may rupture during deployment. This may cause metal fragments to pass through the air bag and into the vehicle interior at high speed which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants.
