Honda recalled Civic vehicles built between 17 August 2009 and 20 August 2009. The handbrake ratchet tooth dimensions are incorrect resulting in a mismatch and incorrect engagement between pawl and ratchet teeth. The dealer will check date stamp on lever and if marked 200709 replace handbrake lever. You won't usually pay for it.1

What’s Wrong
