Nissan recalled NV200, Qashqai vehicles built between 27 February 2012 and 16 May 2012. The steering wheel boss may not have been produced to the correct specification. The dealer will check and if necessary replace the steering wheel assembly. You won't usually pay for it.1
What’s Wrong
The steering wheel boss may not have been produced to the correct specification. If a higher than normal loading is applied to the steering wheel in its normal operation it is possible that the steering wheel boss may separate from the steering column. This can result in a loss of steering control.
