Renault ZOE Recalls In The UK: Every Safety Recall By Year And Build Date, And What To Do

Recall data from DVSA, updated 15 October 2026.

The Renault ZOE has 6 UK safety recalls in DVSA records, 2 of them since 2020. The most common faults involve brakes and fire risk. Enter your registration to see which apply to your car; you won't usually pay for a recall repair.1

The Renault Zoe has very few UK recalls, all on a small number of cars, so most Zoe owners will never get a letter. The one most worth knowing about involves the gearbox: two recalls, R/2017/207 and R/2018/070, fixed Zoes whose gearbox might not hold in park, so the car could roll away when parked. If you own an early Zoe, check that the work was done, and use the parking brake as well as P. Earlier, R/2016/035 fixed reduced brake efficiency on 999 cars. The later Zoe had a 2022 recall for a risk of an internal short circuit in the battery on a handful of cars (R/2022/001) and a 2023 recall for a rear seat bench that might not lock into position (R/2023/028). Many Zoes were sold with a leased battery, but battery leasing has no effect on recalls. Any Renault dealer can confirm by VIN; see electric car recalls.

What You Might Notice

Many recall faults give no warning at all, so a registration check is the only reliable way to know.2 See car recall symptoms.
