Jeep recalled Grand Cherokee vehicles built between 11 October 2011 and 1 October 2012. Under certain braking events the Ready Alert Braking System (RAB) may result in the driver experiencing a hard brake pedal feel. The dealer will update the RAB software in the ABS ECU. You won't usually pay for it.1

What’s Wrong

Under certain braking events the Ready Alert Braking System (RAB) may result in the driver experiencing a hard brake pedal feel. If the driver experiences a hard brake pedal they may not push the pedal as intended which can result in a lengthening of the stopping distance of the vehicle so increasing the risk of a crash.
