Jeep recalled Avenger MHEV vehicles built between 25 May 2023 and 19 January 2026. Due to a production nonconformity there may be contact or a reduced clearance between the fuel Particulate Filter pipe and the pole protection cup of the 48V Belt Starter Generator. The dealer will replace the pole protection cup of the 48V Belt Starter Generator. You won't usually pay for it.1
What’s Wrong
Due to a production nonconformity there may be contact or a reduced clearance between the fuel Particulate Filter pipe and the pole protection cup of the 48V Belt Starter Generator. Under wet conditions there is a possibility that this insufficient clearance may lead to water infiltration creating an electrical arc which could trigger a thermal event such as overheating. In the worst-case scenario this could result in a risk of fire in the engine compartment.
