Mercedes-Benz recalled Sprinter vehicles built between 16 July 2021 and 16 August 2021. The engagement hooks of the cable duct of the starter-generator wiring harness may not be fully latched in the battery case. The dealer will check the fixings of the cable bracket and replace the engagement hooks of the affected cable duct with expanding rivets if required. You won't usually pay for it.1

Concern: THE ENGAGEMENT HOOKS OF THE CABLE DUCT OF THE STARTER-GENERATOR WIRING HARNESSMAY NOT BE FULLY LATCHED IN THE BATTERY CASE Defect: On certain vehicles the engagement hooks of the cable duct of the starter-generator wiring harness may not be fully latched in the battery case. Remedy: Check the fixings of the cable bracket and replace the engagement hooks of the affected cable duct with expanding rivets if required.
