Nissan recalled Qashqai vehicles built between 23 September 2013 and 26 May 2016. In conditions such as high speed and high vehicle loading the rear right wheel arch protector may contact the brake hose. The recall notice describes the fix as: on affected vehicles re-work the rear wheel arch protector and if necessary replace the brake pipe with new. You won't usually pay for it.1

What’s Wrong

In conditions such as high speed and high vehicle loading the rear right wheel arch protector may contact the brake hose. Over time repeated contact could wear through the outer protective cover of the brake hose. This could damage the inner reinforcing braiding and in an extreme case wear a hole in the hose which could lead to brake fluid leakage.
