SEAT Ibiza Recalls In The UK: Every Safety Recall By Year And Build Date, And What To Do
Recall data from DVSA, updated 15 October 2026.
The SEAT Ibiza has 17 UK safety recalls in DVSA records, 4 of them since 2020. The most common faults involve airbags and fuel leaks. Enter your registration to see which apply to your car; you won't usually pay for a recall repair.1
Which Car Is It?
Choose the make and model so we can match recalls to your car.
The SEAT Ibiza recall most likely to matter now is R/2023/273, which replaces the front driver's airbag on the Ibiza, Alhambra, Ateca, Leon and Toledo, covering 52,322 vehicle-records. Check the registration even on a car you think was fixed, because SEAT has run several airbag recalls since; see Takata airbag recalls. The current Ibiza shares its seat belt and handbrake recalls with the Arona: a left rear double buckle that could unfasten (R/2018/138), a handbrake lever whose travel could increase (R/2019/039) and a follow-up buckle bracket check (R/2020/113). Older Ibizas had recalls for a bonnet that might not close properly (R/2012/073) and a brake servo vacuum pipe that could crack (R/2004/202). The Ibiza has been sold in the UK since the 1980s, and many older cars are now first cars for new drivers, so a check before buying is worthwhile. Any SEAT dealer can confirm by VIN.
Ibiza Recalls By Year And Build Date
Each recall covers Ibizas built between certain dates. Find your car's build date on the V5C or ask a SEAT dealer, then match it below.
Build dates come from DVSA's Build Start and Build End fields. A car built inside the range may be included, and SEAT confirms by VIN. See where to find your VIN.
The Ibiza Recalls That Matter Most
Front driver airbag replacement (R/2023/273) is the largest Ibiza recall, covering about 52,322 vehicle-records.
We also explain recalls for the SEAT Arona and Leon. Every other SEAT model is covered on the SEAT recalls page, and the list of makes covers every other brand.
