Toyota recalled Proace vehicles built between 21 February 2023 and 21 February 2023. Some vehicles may have an engine that was incorrectly assembled due to improper setting of the high-pressure fuel pump and/or improper setting of the timing belt. The dealer will check high pressure fuel pump setting and replace engine if not correct. You won't usually pay for it.1

Concern: Affected vehicles may have an engine that was incorrectly assembled due to improper setting of the high-pressure fuel pump and/or improper setting of the timing belt. Defect: Affected vehicles may have an engine that was incorrectly assembled due to improper setting of the high-pressure fuel pump and/or improper setting of the timing belt. Remedy: Check high pressure fuel pump setting and replace engine if not correct. If high pressure fuel pump setting is correct check timing belt setting and replace timing belt if necessary.
