Which Car Is It?
Choose the make and model so we can match recalls to your car.
Honda CR-V recalls arrive unusually late: half of them come more than eight years after the first affected cars were built, so an older CR-V is very much worth checking. Most of its history involves Takata airbag inflators, shared with the Civic and Jazz in recalls such as R/2016/045, R/2015/104 and R/2019/243; see Takata airbag recalls. Two CR-V-only recalls involved fire risks: R/2012/114 for a fire risk on earlier cars, and R/2020/377, which fixed a power window master switch that could short circuit if liquid got in, covering 77,836 vehicle-records. If you notice a burning smell or a window switch that misbehaves, stop and get the car checked. The latest hybrid and plug-in hybrid CR-Vs share 2024 and 2025 recalls with the Civic for a fuel pump part (R/2024/476) and the power steering gearbox (R/2025/024). Any Honda dealer can confirm by VIN which recalls apply.

What You Might Notice
Many recall faults give no warning at all, so a registration check is the only reliable way to know.2 See car recall symptoms.
