Audi Q5 Recalls In The UK: Every Safety Recall By Year And Build Date, And What To Do

Recall data from DVSA, updated 15 October 2026.

The Audi Q5 has 29 UK safety recalls in DVSA records, 13 of them since 2020. The most common faults involve airbags and fire risk. Enter your registration to see which apply to your car; you won't usually pay for a recall repair.1

The Audi Q5 has two stop-drive recalls in DVSA's data, which makes it one to check carefully. R/2024/495 told owners of some Q5 plug-in hybrids not to drive until the high-voltage battery was serviced, and R/2025/387 did the same for a small number of older cars with a Takata airbag. If your Q5 is a plug-in hybrid, also look out for R/2025/463, a battery control unit software update. See electric car recalls. Among petrol and diesel Q5s, the largest recalls fixed an air conditioning heater element that could overheat (R/2018/051 and R/2017/334), a Takata passenger airbag gas generator on Q5 and A5 models (R/2023/052, 38,603 vehicle-records), and wheel arch parts that could come loose. In 2026 R/2026/192 replaced seat belts with tensioners on 2,119 Q5s. Any Audi Centre can confirm which apply by VIN.

What You Might Notice

Many recall faults give no warning at all, so a registration check is the only reliable way to know.2 See car recall symptoms.

Is The Q5 Reliable?

Recalls show faults the maker has agreed to fix, not how often cars break down. Compare models on our compare page.
