Ford Ecosport Recalls In The UK: Every Safety Recall By Year And Build Date, And What To Do

Recall data from DVSA, updated 15 October 2026.

The Ford Ecosport has 8 UK safety recalls in DVSA records, 4 of them since 2020. The most common faults involve software and fuel leaks. Enter your registration to see which apply to your car; you won't usually pay for a recall repair.1

The recall most likely to affect a UK Ford EcoSport is R/2025/094, a powertrain control module software update covering the EcoSport, Fiesta, Focus, B-Max, C-Max and other Fords, with 213,392 vehicle-records; it is usually a short dealer visit. EcoSport recalls tend to arrive several years after the cars were built, so older EcoSports are worth checking again. Earlier EcoSport recalls dealt with a rear suspension fault that could make the car unstable (R/2015/126), a fuel leak (R/2016/102), a lower control arm weld (R/2018/248) and seat belts with a faulty locking mechanism shared with the Fiesta (R/2021/123). In 2025 Ford added a rear-view camera software update across several models (R/2025/359). Many EcoSports have the 1.0 EcoBoost engine, which has no UK recall for its wet timing belt; see our EcoBoost wet belt page for the warning signs and Ford's programme. Any Ford dealer can confirm by VIN.

What You Might Notice

Many recall faults give no warning at all, so a registration check is the only reliable way to know.2 See car recall symptoms.
