Which Car Is It?
Choose the make and model so we can match recalls to your car.
The Volkswagen Caddy's recent recalls all involve the brakes, so van owners and fleet managers should check every Caddy built from about 2021. In 2024 Volkswagen recalled the Caddy three times for a brake line bolted connection that might not be tight (R/2024/289, R/2024/343 and R/2024/496), each covering a small number of vans. A brake line that loosens can leak fluid and reduce braking, so book these promptly and stop if the brake warning light comes on; see brake recalls. Older Caddys had a tailgate that could drop and injure someone (R/2014/029, 9,139 vehicle-records) and an engine that could start without warning (R/2015/252). Caddy recalls usually arrive within a year of the vans being built, so they are found quickly. Fleet owners can check up to 20 vans at once on our van recalls page. Any Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles dealer can confirm by VIN.

What You Might Notice
Many recall faults give no warning at all, so a registration check is the only reliable way to know.2 See car recall symptoms.
